JACK LINK'S EAST COAST HUNT
You can't get much further east in North America than Newfoundland, but if you travel with a pound of beef jerky, the trip is a breeze and you arrive with lots of energy. And Jack needed energy for his back-to-back Eastern Canada Moose and Woodland Caribou hunts. Here's his report:

Eastern Canada Moose
Scenic helicopter ride of about 45 minutes into camp. Rainy and windy and hilly. Can see Moose at a distance and make a stalk, but it is difficult walking on the tundra. Excellent outfitter, guide, and trophy care. The helicopter re-supplying camp was able to pick up my Moose and take it back to Deer Lake where the meat was cut and vacuum-packed. (Editor's comment: I wonder how that meat will be used?).

Woodland Caribou
The terrain is a lot flatter. You get around by Argo and can generally get within a few hundred yards. Spotted 3 bulls about a half-mile apart and was able to shoot the biggest one on the first day. Spotted 10 shooters that day alone. Truly a great hunt including lodging, equipment and services, and especially the food.

JACK LINK'S WEST COAST HUNT
You can't get much farther west in North America than Oregon. Jack actually booked this hunt with us at the last minute after finishing early in Newfoundland. Now, what can you hunt in Oregon in late October?

Sasquatch
Not many have actually seen one, but the only place you have a chance is the Pacific Northwest. Jack would never shoot one ... they are worth too much to him. But it was fun being in prime territory just for a chance of spotting.

Columbia Blacktail Deer
He did have a tag for Columbia Blacktail Deer and there were so many on the ranch he hunted that they must have scared off Sasquatch. Jack shot a heavy-horned dandy early in his hunt. He had nothing but good things to say about the outfitter-guide and his knowledge of the area.
